NANDOME DAGARA

It is our mission to bring all Nandome in the diaspora together to help provide better
healthcare for the sick in Ghana, help alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by
mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors, and to ensure
that kids growing up in poverty receive an excellent education.

Make a donation.

It is our goal to unite and provide support for all the Nandome in need – with your support we can continue to provide much needed medical supplies, support education, and ease human suffering – we ask that you consider joining us in this effort by making a donation today.

Health Projects

Through the efforts of our Association (ANANDA), Brother’s Brother Foundation has donated a 40-foot container of hospital equipment which is due to be shipped to St. Theresa’s hospital in Nandom, Upper West Region, Ghana. Brother’s Brother Foundation (BBF) is a Pittsburgh-based non-profit organization that performs international medical relief and infrastructure-building for hospitals in developing countries. BBF works with in-country partners to establish and target patient needs through the donation of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and medical equipment.

Events

ANANDA has successfully organized two annual general meetings. The first was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2018. Various items including toiletries, cleaning detergents, etc worth more than $1200.00 were donated to St Athanasius Catholic Church.

The second annual event was organized in Columbus, Ohio in 2019. Items worth more than $1500.00 were donated to St. Mathias Catholic Church to support their Tools/Supplies for Catholic Schools.

At both events, fun activities such as Dagara bɛwaa, binɛ and nuru (Dagara traditional dancing), were showcased. At the end of each program, Thanksgiving Masses were celebrated to thank God for His protection throughout the whole year and for the success of our programs.
